This is an excellent opportunity for an Employee Relations specialist or HR Generalist with strong ER experience to get involved in major change initiatives associated with major business integration.
This role will involve managing a team of twelve in a HR Shared Services environment, working closely with the HR Business Partners.
The initial key focus on this role will be on the integration of the organisation. Other key responsibilities will include;
• Harmonisation of benefits and terms and conditions of employment across the UK workforce (involves employee communication, consultation with employee/union representatives, alignment of contracts of employment, staff handbook, associated documentation)
• Expansion and re-design of the European Employee Forum
• Redundancy coordination and key advisor to UK HR business partner population on compliance issues
• Coordination role (global) for roll out of corporate initiatives that have employee relations and/or legal implications, i.e. performance management, employment-related policies, pay & grading systems
The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a complex matrix management structure. Strong people management skills are essential. Must be action-oriented with the capacity to work in a fast-paced and intense environment.
